The Leadership of MANA ALPHA
MANA ALPHA is led by Joe.
Joe is an experienced dog trainer with a military background, international professional experience, and multiple licenses. As a tall, physically present man with a calm demeanor, he represents controlled strength and clear authority. His leadership is never emotional or impulsive — it is deliberate, stable, and consistent.
After eight years of living and working in Portugal, combined with experience across multiple countries, his approach is clear:
dogs reflect the stability of the person leading them.
For Joe, training is not about control — it is about responsibility.
Experience, Depth, and Continuity
At his side stands Paul, a Maori elder with deep cultural roots and lived wisdom. Having lived in Portugal for nine years, he brings a depth of leadership that does not need explanation — it is felt. His role is grounding and perspective, reminding us that authority comes from presence, not volume.
Kohatu, originally from Australia, represents continuity. Having grown up within this structure and lived in Portugal for nine years, he has learned discipline through observation, repetition, and responsibility. As an apprentice, he embodies the belief that leadership is passed on through example, not claimed through words.
